praying aloud

So I saw this tweet a couple weeks ago:

Mark 11:22-24 talks about the power of speaking to our mountains and having belief… “”Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

We are instructed to “say”. To say is to utter aloud and/ or to express in words. When we are in prayer, there needs to be times when we are praying aloud to our Heavenly Father. Proverbs 18:21 says “ The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Matthew 12:37 says For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” To be acquitted it to be cleared and found innocent. To be condemned is to be blamed and chastised. In Matthew 21:19 we see Jesus speaking to the fig tree when He says, “Let no fruit ever grow on you again”, immediately the fig tree withered away… responding to what He said. What if some of the things we have been praying for silently, suddenly manifested if we started praying and speaking them aloud?

Calling forth means to call into existence and/or summon into action. Calling forth is what Jesus did to that fig tree. He summoned it into action. And I know there are things in our lives that could stand to be called forth…So I call forth peace and blessings to me and everyone/everything attached to me. I call forth doors to open on my behalf through which I can share my talents, gifting, and love of the Lord.

Command is another powerful word to speak out during your prayer time. Matthew 8:32 says, “He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water.” “Go” is a command. We can take authority over the spiritual realm and tell things to go. So, I command physical and mental sickness to go in Jesus name. I command no delays on my God-given assignments and lastly I command distractions in my life to go in Jesus name. Everything unproductive and unfruitful go now in the name of Jesus.

Declaring means to manifest, reveal, proclaim and make a declaration. Declaring can be releasing some positive thought out of your mouth at the beginning of the day. Claim and take territory over your day. So I declare I am going to be happy, joyful, and full of God’s love today to all I encounter. I declare my body is going to feel great today and I will be full of strength to accomplish God’s work. I declare I am going to have favor in the sight of the Lord and with man today.

Faith comes by hearing and as we speak aloud what we want to see manifest or take authority over, it will increase our faith. Luke 10:19, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” God gave us authority. When He died and resurrected, He transferred His authority to us. Now let’s use that authority and pray aloud!

I know sometimes it may be awkward or weird at first when praying aloud, so I suggest starting by writing your prayers down as a conversation with God or just beginning to literally talk out loud to our Father.

Your bag was secured before the ends of the Earth were decided on. You’re chasing things that are ALREADY yours. Walk in your purpose. Align yourself and speak into existence the things you know you’re called to do. Stop stressing over things that have already been writing. Just speak it and walk in it.
