A while ago I was having a conversation with my mom about our personal walks with God. During the conversation, the question of "Why do we pray if everything is already predestined in the first place?" came up...which is a VERY valid question. And just the other day during bible study with my dance ministry at Howard, the same question was posed.
With the semester now in full force , so is my busy schedule. During winter break, I was extremely excited to come back to school because I had exciting things waiting for me!I like being on the go, but little did I actually understand HOW busy I would be this semester.

I first saw the quote "cultivate kindness" on my cross country trip during the summer of 2016 with a program called Teens Westward Bound (TWB). We were shopping in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in the cutest shop. My friends and I found the jewelry and these cute little bracelets with different sayings. I saw a small gold bracelet that read “Cultivate Kindness”.
Growing up in church I ALWAYS heard that God came so that we would have life and have it more abundantly and I always thought it was a nice little saying but never actively believed it, acted in it, or even looked it up.
At the beginning of the year I set several goals for myself and some things I wanted to accomplish educationally, professionally, and spiritually. Looking back at what I wrote in January, I accomplished what I wanted to and so much more. I'm honestly really proud of the progress I've made and am excited to grow even more.
