Remember when everything was “goals”. We saw a cute couple or a pretty girl and it was “omg GOALS”. This summer I decided I would create my own goals and actively become them. So, here are my summer goals and how I’m accomplishing them so far:
– Save money!!!
– Create a budget and stick to it!
– These two kind of go hand in hand. I’ve been working all summer and as soon as I get paid I immediately put half of my check in my savings. Also creating a budget and actually sticking to it has definitely helped with my money management.
– Start my blog
– Before my friends and I left for summer break we agreed that this would be the summer that we started doing the things that we’ve always wanted to. So I started my blog May 10 🙂
– Work on personal brand
– This started with my blog and a few other things I’ve been working on
– Apply for a scholarship a week
– Study Spanish everyday
– I downloaded the Duolingo app and it’s a 10/10. It also sends daily reminders to study.
– Daily devotions
– Set aside time for intentional alone time
– While in school there’s literally 10 million things going on at once and you’re around people 24/7. Like I never had 100% alone time. So while I am at home for a while I’ve been actually focusing on myself and having complete alone time.
– Daily workouts
– Secure a job and/or internship for the Fall Semester
– Stay tuned y’all, the bag is almost secured. Pray for me.
– Intend to be as generous with myself as I am with others
– I would consider myself pretty generous and I have a big heart. It’s a blessing and a curse because 9 times out of 10 I let people walk ALL over me. So I’m spending more time with myself, learning to say no more often and working on not letting others walk over me.
– Accepting what comes and allowing it to leave when it’s time
– Practicing non-attachment is also on the agenda. I’m a VERY attachy person and I love VERY VERY hard lol. So as far as relationships and opportunities, I’m working on looking at the pros and cons of having it and the pros and cons of it leaving. I know if it’s for me, it will not pass me.
